"I can't say enough about Stacey/Lake Cowichan Physiotherapy. I was experiencing back and leg work related issues, and I felt so much relief even after the first session. Stacey is very professional, and I felt really comfortable during every visit. I had been to physio in the past, but never got much out of it. We are very fortunate to have such a great Physiotherapist in our town!" - C.U.

CHINESE MEDICINE & ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine have evolved over five thousand years, blending ancient wisdom with modern biomedical understanding.

Acupuncture supports the smooth flow of Qi, the vital energy essential to health, through pathways in the body called channels. When Qi becomes blocked, excessive or depleted, the body is more vulnerable to illness.

Grounded in the principles of yin and yang, acupuncture addresses both symptoms and their underlying causes.

A practitioner of Chinese Medicine treats the whole person rather than the disease, listening with all of their senses to identify areas of disharmony. Treatment creates space for the body’s innate intelligence to emerge.

Treatment can involve the use of; acupuncture, gua sha, moxibustion, cupping, food therapy, massage, exercise and lifestyle suggestions including: tai chi, qi gong, meditation and breathing techniques.

COUNSELLING

Registered Therapeutic Counsellors are trained in a range of practical, evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative structured, solution-focused approaches, trauma-informed techniques, somatic awareness, and eye-movement–based integration methods like MEMI. We support individuals, couples, and families as they work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship concerns, faith-related struggles, and patterns that feel difficult to break.

The goal is to create a safe, grounded space where clients can gain clarity, build emotional resilience, develop effective tools, and move toward meaningful change in their everyday lives.
